Restaurant (+47) 55 25 70 34 - www.tracteurstedet-gamle-bergen.no This is an open air museum comprising some 40 characteristic wooden houses placed on squares, streets and narrow alleys, like it used to be in the times of our great-great grandfathers. The interiors show town life as it was in the 18th and 19th centuries, for instance a bakery, dentist's, photograper's, jeweller's, shopkeeper's house, official's house, sailor's house etc. 7 mins. by bus from the city centre. Opening hours: 13 May-9 Sept. Daily 09.00-17.00. Guided tours every hour, the first at 10.00, the last at 16.00. To go inside the old houses, you have to join a guided tour. Some of the houses will be open and host special activities on certain days. There are also several exhibitions featuring local artists. The museum area and idyllic park from the early 19th century is open all year, free of charge.

Entrance fee: Guided tour NOK 50. Students and senior citizens NOK 25. Children free.
