Two Days

Breathe in the morning air atop the Triumphal Arch, getting a bird's-eye view of the urban anarchy you're about to embrace. Saunter down elegant §oseaua Kiseleff to the Village Museum. Spend the morning stomping between Transylvania, Moldova and Maramures before leaving the museum and heading south. Indulge yourself with lunch at the historic Athénée Palace Hilton off Pia{a Revolutiei and see the balcony on the former Central Committee of the Communist Party building (now the Senate), where Ceauçescu made his final speech. Head south down Calea Victoriei, Bucharest's bustling heart, to the Palace of Parliament. Finish off with an evening stroll and a lakeside beer in Ciçmigiu Garden. Discover Dracula's tomb on the second day by rowing across Snagov Lake. Return via beautiful Càldàru$ani Monastery.
