Flipping Furniture is a Great Home Biz Niche

Great beginning course for anyone This is a great course for a person that has had no exposure to E-Bay, Craigslist, auctions etc. I have done a bit of buying at auctions and flipping in the past and I plan to begin again. I was familiar with a lot of the material but I still learned a few things, especially about navigating to auction and estate sale listing sites on the web and that alone was worth my price of admission. Cartess Ross comes across as a great guy with a caring heart and he is put together a concise plan for anyone to get started.

E Arrondissements Eastern Paris

Just about every uprising in the city's history sprang from this area, including the Revolution of 1789. If you poke around the streets and passages of the Faubourg St-Antoine, you will find there are still plenty of furniture makers and craftsmen the Viaduct des Arts with its crafts galleries and workshops is an homage to many endangered skills and arts. On top of the Viaduct is the Promenade Plant e, a lovely narrow garden that extends the length of this old train track from the place de la Bastille to the huge park Bois de Vincennes.

Design And Architecture

Classic furniture designs by heavyweights such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjsrholm are hard to miss. But a new generation of furniture designers, such as Kasper Salto and Louise Campbell are making their names. While some continue in the footsteps of the old masters, others choose to experiment and explore new paths.

The rue du Faubourg-St-Antoine is lined with shops displaying a striking array of both traditional period furniture and modern designs, but don't neglect to visit the narrow passages, such as the Passage de la Main D'Or, running off this and other streets

A design heaven

If you are looking for something special to buy, be it clothes, textiles, glass or ceramics, then Finland has a lot to offer. World famous for design, Finland is also home to some of the most stylish jewellery and furniture makers in Europe. Among the many department stores, with branches in various towns, are Anttila, Citymarket and Sokos. The leading department store in Helsinki, Stockmann, has branches in Espoo (Tapiola), Vantaa, Tampere, Turku, and Oulu.

Windmills

Long Island has more surviving 18th-century windmills than any other section of the country, all in Suffolk County. The Dominy family, one of the founding families of East Hampton, were furniture makers, clock makers and windmill builders their creations are found in several museums on the East End. The family built one of East Hampton's windmills, the Old Hook Mill on North Main Street (built by Nathaniel Dominy V in 1806) it's now the only one in operating condition. The Old Hook Mill is open daily in June, July and August, 10am-4pm (Sunday hours are 2-4pm).

Inspiration

Neolithic pot-firing techniques have been explored and recreated by a potter in Harray. Excavations at Minehowe in Tankerness reveal that Orkney's world-famous jewellery designers had precursors at least 1,000 years ago. Traditions of textile work, including knitting, felting and embroidery, are reinvented and given a modern twist for the catwalk. Crofters' furniture making habits, developed to make the most of scarce driftwood and plentiful straw, evolve into the classic and much sought after shapes of the Orkney Chair.

Sights Activities

Central Mozambique's forests have long been plundered, but there's finally some good news on the scene. If you have extra time and are interested in learning about local sustainable development projects, take a few hours to visit Mezimbite Forest Centre, about 50km west of Beira along the EN6. In addition to promoting sustainable conservation of the surrounding forests through maximising the forests' benefits to local residents, it trains artisans and craftpersons to be competitive in quality at the highest levels, producing exclusive furniture designs, jewellery and other items that are marketed internationally.

The Mennonites

Belize has been good to the Mennonites and in turn the Mennonites have been good to Belize. Mennonite farms now supply most of the country's dairy products, eggs and poultry. Furniture-making is another Mennonite specialty and you'll often see them selling their goods at markets.
